The 4 eyes blinder power supply from ETCO is a 500W switching board for 4x100W COB audience blinder lights. It takes AC 110–240V input and gives two DC outputs: 36V at 12.5A and 24V at 3A. The 36V line drives the four COB chips, while the 24V line feeds the control card and fans. As a result, all four eyes shine with full and even brightness. In addition, large filter capacitors and toroid coils keep the output clean and stable.
Moreover, the gold aluminium frame works as a heat sink, so the board stays cool in long shows. Its compact 80 x 140 x 45 mm size fits most 4-head housings. What is a 4 eyes blinder power supply?
It is the main SMPS board inside a 4-head COB light. It turns mains AC into the DC voltages that the chips and card need.
How do I know my blinder supply is faulty?
First, check if the light stays dark and the display does not turn on. Also, look for a blown fuse, burnt marks or swollen capacitors. If the card and chips are fine, the supply usually needs a replacement.
Can I use it in a 2 eyes blinder?
Yes, if your light needs the same 36V and 24V outputs. However, a 2-head unit uses less current, so check the voltages on your old board first. Also, always unplug the light before you open it.
